How the work actually goes.
Every client is different, but the framework is consistent: stabilize first, build capacity, then do the deeper work — with measurable progress along the way.
Behavioral Activation
Depression tells you to wait until you feel like it. Behavioral activation calls that bluff. We schedule action before motivation — and motivation follows action, not the other way around. This is not "just go for a walk." It is structured, measured, and adjusted weekly.
CBT for cognitive patterns
Depression has a voice, and it has habits of thinking. We identify those patterns — rumination, all-or-nothing, emotional reasoning — and train a new relationship to them.
DBT skills for regulation
For clients whose moods move fast. Distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness — practical tools that work when the weather inside you won't hold still.
You might recognize
yourself here.
If several of these land — even uncomfortably — this is probably the right page for you to be on.
- 01You function — but you haven't felt like yourself in months or years
- 02Things you used to love don't land the same anymore
- 03You've been on medication but the talk therapy piece is missing
- 04Your mood swings are costing you relationships
- 05You're not in crisis, but you're not okay either
"Depression is clinically treatable. Most people wait years before getting the right kind of help. If the version of you reading this is tired of the hum, this is the work that gets you out."
